What a night!

-SPOILER WARNING-

That was by far some of the greatest fights I had seen in a while. I was on the edge of my seat (or more so, on the edge of my toes since the bar I went to was packed full of people) the entire time.

I only bothered to go to the bar and see the Rick story vs Cerrone fight first, and watched all the way up to the main event.

The Story and Cerrone fight was decent; I thought Rick simply was outmatched, and didn't have much of an advantage over the veteran Cerrone. Cerrone's devestating combo in the end was sick though....the timing of the hook to the punch to the floating rib followed by a solid kick to the face was epic.

I had a feeling when they were showing anthony "rumble" johnson's highlight reel full of knockouts that he would add yet another one to his list. Once again, he came out of the gate flying, knocked out Glover Texiera within 13 seconds...maybe a hint to Connor to rematch Jose like he should, but that's none of my business.

And finally the main event. I saw the last time Diaz and Mcgregor fought and it was astounding. A total bloody slugfest, it was awesome to watch the irish man meet his match. I do think that while I was rooting for Diaz (after all, I am an american) and thought he dominated the match, knockdowns do play a very important role in scoring a fight. Connor knocked down diaz 3 times, so by default decision, unless diaz knocks him out or gives him a few knockdowns he can't win. Regardless if it was a rigged situation, I'm definitely going to see them fight a 3rd time.
