Hey everyone,
My name is Taylor Kelley and I'm a personal trainer and fitness coach, which means I help people lose weight, get in shape, and promote healthy lifestyles.
Today I'm going to be talking about the newest pokemon mobile app, known as pokemon GO.
Just to give you a background, I used to be an avid pokemon player; I have played nearly all of them (I stopped after heart gold because I didn't want to spend money on a 3ds) and found them enjoyable, especially the fact that you can go out on an adventure and see tons of pokemon and have epic battles.
Does pokemon GO deliver this same feeling?
Yes, and more.
If you are a follower on my youtube channel, you probably know that I have a distaste for the so called "fitness" video games such as the wii, kinect, among others. They slowly have diluted down to simply swinging a certain motion and don't require actual movement. (A very funny video you should look up is a video of some guy laying on the couch with a wii remote using his foot and eating potato chips) What makes pokemon GO different is that you ACTUALLY have to get off your a$$ and leave your house. Oh trust me, I tried simply walking around my house and I never encountered any pokemon. I actually had to leave my house, go for a walk (I would say half a mile before I saw anything) in order to actually play the game.
I applaud nintendo for this great idea. I do believe that if you are trying to find an enjoyable way to lose weight (which is something I highly stress in my courses) then I suggest you take time to download pokemon GO especially if you are a fan of pokemon, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Best,
Taylor Kelley
