It's that time of the decade again. Olympics. People watch in awe as people from all over the world perform amazing feats to get that gold medal.

Probably my most favorite event that the olympics show is gymnastics. If you know me, you know that I highly stress the importance of body-weight exercises, and how it can actually help you build tons of muscle....yet, not everyone believes me when I say that.

I want you to take a look at this picture.
Like holy crap. And people say calisthenics doesn't work....well I can assure you it definitely goes.

If you're a skinny teen, listen up. Because I've got some news for you ; You don't have to lift weights in order to bulk up. In fact, you could easily get this physique if you commit yourself to training it properly. The problem with people who lift weights and complain calisthenics work is the idea that you can't progressively overload your muscles when you use just your body weight. Well, to those people, I want you to try to do a handstand pushup, or even a one handstand pushup. Odds are you can''t. This is how progressive overload works with calisthenics, you just have to find ways to leverage your weight in order to overload a particular muscle.

So here's what I reccomend you try. Do pushups, but every time you go down, hold it half way as long as you can. Time it if you have to. Then write that time down. Everytime you do a pushup, time yourself how much time it takes for you to fatigue and fall from the pushup.

And just so you know, the majority of gymnast athletes in the olympics are teens. Instead of feeling sorry for yourself because you aren't as good as them, strive to know that you can get the physique you want following a gymnastic training regimine. I understand that gymnastics is expensive, but there's TONS of free content out there for you to get started on. (Just simply type it into youtube)
Heck, I've even got a free workout routine on my youtube channel if that interests you.

I'm soon going to be launching a very special gift to all of you who are reading my blog posts, so if you like these posts lately, be sure to set it on your home page so you don't miss out!

Talk to you soon,
