1) Stay consistent
Consistency is one of the biggest factors that will contribute to your success. Whether that's losing weight, getting involved in your business, or any goal, this will allow you to get to far places. 2) Form over weight
I know it's tempting to want to lift tons of weight, but if you are having shitty form you're just going to hurt yourself in the end. When you're body doesn't go through the correct ranges of motion, you're not allowing your muscle to make the most efficient muscle gains. Start with a lower weight, and work your way up.
