If you are a teen looking for an exercise plan online and have a hard time finding one to follow, you're not alone.
In fact, so many teens face this problem because most of the online information out there about fitness is more directed towards young adults and baby-boomers (30+).
So how do you work out as a teen, and what's the best exercise plan for a teenager?
Well, the answer may surprise you but it's relatively simple. Here are the following steps to determining what type of exercise plan you need.
1) Determine your body type.
First, you need to figure out if you are an endomorph, ectomorph, or mesomorph. Here's what they all mean:
Endomorph - You're average, gain weight relatively easy. You're not thin but not too big either.
Ectomorph - You're really skinny and have a fast metabolism.
Mesomorph- You're broad shouldered, perhaps a little overweight and have a very slow metabolism.
2) Determine your repetition range
Is your goal muscle mass? Then in that case you want to promote hypertrophy, which pretty much means blowing up the muscle. For this type of goal, you want to go to the 8-12 rep range with lots of volume (4-6 sets) for your training. If you're goal is fat loss, then you want to do lots of reps as well, but timed in a short interval process. For example, doing pushups for 30 seconds followed by jogging in place for 1 minute. If you're goal is to become stronger then you want to lift weights in the 4-6 rep range.
3) Track everything down
This is probably the most overlooked step when training simply because people are lazy. Don't be one of those lazy people. Go to the gym with a plan of attack and follow it through. You will learn aton about yourself this way and find what exercises are helping you gain the physique you want the most.
4) Make YOURSELF the personal trainer
This goes back to the previous point. Treat yourself like a personal trainer would treat you. Coach yourself and become an "expert" in muscle building. Trust me, you'll believe it so much you'll convince yourself what you do is true and most likely it will because you will be consistent at it.
So there you go, learning how to exercise by yourself can be difficult with you no guideline to follow, but get this.... if you visit 30dayteenbulkup.com you will NOT be dissapointed. I've got you hooked up with one of my special programs built specifically for teens for dirt cheap.
