How To Think Positive – Top 3 Positive Physchology Tips

Hi there! My name is Taylor Kelley, and I'm a Personal Trainer and Fitness Coach, which means I help people lose the weight, get in shape, and promote a healthy lifestyle.

A video I posted Tuesday was about how to think positive, and the top 3 ways to remain positive in our world today.

If you are a visual learner, this click link to the video!

But if you are more of a reader...then read on.

(and btw, I'm not one of those guys who scripts the youtube video verbatum, so you will see something slightly different in the video and something slightly different in the post below.)

This article is for someone who wants to live happily and NEVER think negatively about things and the situations that surround their life. If you want to be a happy person all around, then I've got three things for you to consider.

  1. People
Who do you talk to? Who do you surround yourself with? This is by far, the easiest and most important factor when determining how happy you really are. Think of it this way, if you hang out with shit bags....you will become a shit bag whether you realize that or not. Now, I get it, sometimes you have no choice but to be around those people. They could be family members, co workers, you name it. However, surrounding yourself with unmotivated people who are constantly complaining (you know, those people who blame the economy....the 1% for everything that goes on, their boss ect) it will affect you whether or not you want it to or not. The best solution for this is to get out if you can, or just simply ignore them. A common practice of mine is when there is negativity going on in my apartment, I simply put headphones on, drain out the noise with a positive reading passage from the bible or maybe lifting audio book written by brian tracy, or heck, maybe Ill just watch some cat videos. Whatever you do, you need to drown out those people from your life, don't be around them if you can help it.
  2. Balance
If you work all the time.....and never rest. Never take a break, what fun is there in that? Now I get it, you may be a workaholic. And I am too! I wake up guns blazing at 5am (if you would like to know how I do that, message me in the contacts section at tkfitnesslive.trainerize.com) work hard and then hopefully crash at noon. When I say hopefully, I mean because I know that if I stress out TOO long on something I'm doing (whether it be fun or not) I know that in the end it's going to cause an imbalance of my work-play time. This works the same way with taking TOO much breaks. If you take too many breaks, the work is only going to make you feel crappy. This is why people who go on long long vacations after only a little bit of accomplishments in their work feel like crap because they feel like they don't deserve it. I believe that you should bust your a$$ when you are working, and relax like a king, because at that point, you truly deserve your reward.
  3. Aggression
Say what? You need to expel energy. When you never release ANYTHING. Any stresses you currently have in your body, you are going to suffer. Imagine someone getting a feather and lightly stroking your skin but you were told you couldn't scratch it. This is the same thing with agression. Human beings use many forms of eliminating the inner feelings of wanting to release tension. It could be sex (assuming you are married lol), playing music, fighting in a cage, doing marital arts, lifting weights, exercising, playing video games, cursing really loudly ect....your body needs to release tension on a DAILY basis. Now it doesn't have to necessarily be those things I listed, it just has to be something where you are exerting force, some type of “letting go”.

PAB...there or PBA but pab sounds better.
